The Weather Channel, Inc.
The Weather Channel's U.S. network, based in Atlanta, produces continuous, 24-hour national, regional and local weather-related video programming distributed by satellite to cable television systems and other video distributors, as well as to households with satellite receiver dishes. The network is received by more than 84 million households and can be seen in 95% of all cable TV homes nationwide.

Weatherscan Local is The Weather Channel's all-local, all-the-time service, intended for distribution primarily on digital cable. It is in the process of being deployed and as of March 2002, was seen in 3.5 million cable households.

The Weather Channel Radio Network
The Weather Channel Radio Network (TWCRN) provides local and severe weather reports directly to over 215 radio stations in 90 U.S. markets, including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston and Miami. Just one report across the network reaches over 1 million listeners in the 25-54 age demographic. TWCRN also provides reports to two state radio networks and is the weather provider for both satellite radio distributors, XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Both have channels dedicated exclusively to weather.

Newspaper Services
The Weather Channel, through a partnership with Tribune Media Services and Weather Central, Inc. syndicates a newspaper weather page to over 60 newspapers nationwide with a combined circulation of over 8 million. The Weather Channel also provides weather information for the weather page of USA TODAY with a circulation of 2.3 million as well as for the international editions of USA TODAY and the usatoday.com weather pages.

The Weather Channel Latin America
The international divisions of The Weather Channel include: El Canal del Tiempo, a Spanish language network, and O Canal do Tempo, a Portugese-language network for Brazil. The sales and marketing forces for the two networks, which serve Latin America and the Caribbean, are based in Miami. TWC-Latin America has distribution in every country in Latin America except Uruguay. The networks are broadcast from Atlanta.

International Web sites
The Weather Channel continues to expand its international reach with the launch of language-specific sites for the United Kingdom (www.weather.co.uk), Germany (www.daswetter.com), Latin America (www.weather.com/espanol), and Brazil (www.canaldotempo.com).

The Weather Channel is a 50% owner of Pelmorex, Inc., the Canadian company that owns The Weather Network and Meteo Media which have a standing in Canada equivalent to TWC in the United States.

The site averages more than 350 million page views every month and is consistently ranked among the top five news and information sites by Nielsen//NetRatings. weather.com is also the leading provider of broadband and wireless weather products via high-speed Internet services, phones, pagers, Palm Pilots, and other personal digital assistants. Partnerships include America Online, Yahoo!, USA Today.com, AT&T WorldNet, ABCNews.com, Digital City, Road Runner, Verison Wireless, Cingular, AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS, AvantGo and Palm Computing.
